Warehouse Associate II
W2 Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $23 - $26 per hour
Location: Edinburgh, IN - Onsite Role
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for performing a variety of essential day-to-day work functions within the Operations Department. This includes shipping/receiving material, tracking labor hours, and utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately fulfill customer shipments according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Client Operating Procedures (COP).
- Receive material and ensure all documentation aligns with quality and compliance standards.
- Safely operate various industrialized powered vehicles, including forklifts, walkie riders, and specialized packaging equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks; pick, pack, process, and weigh materials for shipment.
- Utilize RF guns to perform accurate material movements and real-time inventory tracking within the WMS.
- Track and log personal labor hours and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDocP).
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards. Voluntarily carry an on-call phone to respond to after-hours alarms or emergencies.
- Act as a mentor to entry-level Warehouse Associate team members for common tasks and operational workflows.
- Understanding of quality, compliance, and training requirements for product safety.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices within a regulated environment.
- A dedication to searching for efficient and effective ways to improve processes and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under time constraints and the pressures of a fast-paced environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 3 years of warehouse experience.
- Hands-on experience operating industrialized powered vehicles (Forklift, etc.).
- 3 to 5 years of experience, particularly within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology.
- Any college-level degree.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to perform basic calculations (fractions, decimals, units of measure).
- Regularly required to stand and walk. Must be able to regularly lift 10-25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities (color and depth perception) are required for safety.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and cold/freezing conditions (cold chain logistics). Noise levels are within OSHA regulations.
