Warehouse Associate
Contract-to-Hire Role
Salary Range: $47,800 - $54,100 per year
Location: Indianapolis, IN - Onsite Role
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of essential day-to-day work functions in the Operations Department, including, but not limited to, shipping/receiving material, tracking labor hours, and working within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling customer shipments according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Client Operating Procedures (COP)
- Receiving material according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Client Operating Procedures (COP)
- Operating various industrialized powered vehicles. This would include, but not be limited to: Forklifts, Walkie Riders, Packaging equipment
- Loading and unloading of materials from trucks, Track and log personal labor hours
- Picking, packing, processing, and weighing material for shipment
- Utilizing RF guns to perform accurate material movement within the warehouse
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness
- Voluntarily carry an on-call phone and respond to after-hours alarm situations and/or emergencies
- Additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager, or Director of Operations
- May act as a mentor to other entry-level Warehouse Associate team members for common tasks
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Any college-level degree is preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) years of warehouse experience is required.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
- Knowledge and operation of various industrialized powered vehicles are required.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry or related field is preferred
- Self-motivated and requires little direction or supervision
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent attendance and punctuality during normal business hours
- Effective time management when dealing with and working under time constraints and other pressures associated with performing all aspects of this job
- Ability to organize work
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of quality, compliance, and training requirements for product safety
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) regulations and reporting requirements
- Embraces change and is dedicated to continuous improvement.
