Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist, In vivo/Cell Biology

W2 Contract

Location: South San Francisco, CA - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

As a SRA/Associate Scientist, you will work cross-functionally with the in vivo and antibody research discovery teams to support therapeutic programs. This role requires a strong background in cell biology, oncology, and/or immunology, and technical proficiency in animal handling, flow cytometry, primary cell isolation, and cell culture techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team-oriented environment to support the preclinical assessment and development of novel antibody-based therapies.
  • Conduct preclinical murine in vivo pharmacology studies and ex vivo analysis of samples from in vivo studies.
  • Develop and execute in vitro cell-based assays to support antibody discovery and development.
  • Interpret and analyze scientific data and communicate findings internally.
  • Demonstrate scientific excellence consistent with our core values.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting is required; prior experience in the biotech industry is preferred.
  • Experience with animal handling including i.v., i.p, and s.c. injections, oral gavage, organ harvest, and blood collection
  • In vitro experience, including cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques
  • Knowledge of primary cell isolation from tissues such as bone marrow (BM), spleen, peripheral blood (PB), or solid tissues
  • Experience with primary cell-based assays is a plus.
  • Background in hematology/oncology is preferred.
  • Able to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, work independently, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
  • Must be detailed oriented, well organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
