Senior Analyst, Financial Systems
Direct Hire Full-Time Role
Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 per year
Location: Dublin, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst - Financial Systems on the Corporate FP&A team will support, maintain, and enhance PeopleSoft Finance and Oracle EPBCS applications. An ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation, configuration, customization, testing, and maintenance of Financial Systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and functional knowledge to effectively support our PeopleSoft system and Hyperion planning modules. Must be self-driven and highly motivated, ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the business. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager-Finance Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support finance applications by performing regular administration and maintenance tasks for PeopleSoft finance and Hyperion Planning applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents and partner with IT to deploy and implement bug fixes.
- Perform and maintain Peoplesoft ledger including consolidation and subledger interfaces.
- Support Finance system setup and maintenance, update system configurations which includes chartfields, reporting tree, legal entities, and combo edit rules.
- Develop and support PeopleSoft reports using tools such as SQR, nVision, BI Publisher, PeopleTools, and/or PSQuery.
- Support system internal and external audits and Identity Management (IDM) attestation
- Ensure monthly nVision reports are run and distribute reports to the stakeholders.
- Manage PeopleSoft system daily operations and maintain processes and user security access. This also includes supporting accounting month-end close process to resolve system technical issues.
- Participate in IT monthly prioritization meetings regarding system ticket requests and enhancements.
- Work with the IT Application Support team on PeopleSoft upgrade, user acceptance testing, pilot, and business validation.
- Manage PeopleSoft system daily operations and maintain processes and user security access. This also includes supporting accounting month-end close process to resolve system technical issues.
- Produce monthly financial reports for senior management by creating, enhancing, and utilizing PeopleSoft nVision report generator and layouts.
- Configure and customize PeopleSoft applications to meet business requirements. Develop functional specifications for system enhancements.
- Evaluate systems for process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and report on software user system licenses and document system security policies.
- Proactively work with business partners to understand business challenges, issues, and/or opportunities.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the Finance processes to automate and enhance existing processes.
- Documentation of the PeopleSoft process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts.
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in Psoft FSCM (9.2 preferably or 9.0 +) with system administration and implementation experience
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in PeopleSoft application (General ledger, Asset Management), including but not limited to reporting tools (nVision, BI publisher, SQR)
- Experience with PeopleTools such as PS Query, Approval Workflow Engine, and Related Content
- Experience in Hyperion EPBCS is a plus
- Experience with data integration/interfacing from other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP Oracle, MicroStrategy) and/or data warehouses
- Working knowledge of relational database technologies and administration, preferably MS SQL Server and Oracle
- Strong system design skills with an understanding of accounting and planning concepts
- Strong analytical ability - must have a data-driven approach to solving problems and be able to design an analysis to answer specific questions. Must know how to 'sanity check' end results to understand whether or not results make sense. Must have a strong ability to "connect the dots" - e.g., understand how pieces of data interact with each other or how one finding should inform the result of another analysis.
