Operations Manager, Translational Research

W2 Contract-to-Hire

Salary Range: $83,200 - $93,600 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Hybrid Role

Job Summary:

As an operations manager in Translational Research (Biology), you will report to the Head of TR Ops, Director, Translational Research and oversee pharmacology operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage both external and internal studies to support CP, TS, and GP projects
  • Organize and facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, documenting accurate meeting minutes, and tracking action items to ensure effective team communication and follow-through.
  • Offer project management support to monitor study progress, track milestones, manage timelines, and ensure timely delivery of key project outcomes.
  • Offer operational and scientific input on study designs and support the execution of experiment.
  • Proactively identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiencies across study execution through data analysis and archival.
  • Lead interaction and collaboration with other key functions, including but not limited to CB, DMPK, CMC, and Compound management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in relevant scientific discipline and 3+ years of experience in project coordination or management with a pharmacology background in an industry environment.
  • Have extensive oncology and pharmacology knowledge, with hands-on experiences preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, excellent record-keeping skills, and calm under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with project and departmental teams.
  • Rigorous, quantitative, attention to detail, keen to maximize efficiency.
  • Innovative, proactive, and collaborative team-player with high energy for our small company environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and work efficiently in a fluid environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing GEMM colony, histology, and biomarker assays is desirable.
