Lab Engineer

W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $40 - $50 per hour

Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Hybrid Role

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Lab environments
• Experience with Lab Capacity Planning
• Experience with Lab utilization and recognizing Lab device needs
• Skills and experience with Linux Systems
• Experience with setting up x86 server hardware, BIOS/UEFI, and other server/rack configuration tasks
• Experience with supporting Network Switches and Routers
• Knowledge of Bash scripting or similar command-line tools
• Knowledge of Python or GoLang

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IPMI/DRAC/Redfish or similar out-of-band management tools
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code or similar concepts
• Experience with configuration management systems like ansible/chef/puppet/salt
• Knowledge of MacOS System Administration, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking
• Knowledge of TCP or OSI layers
• Knowledge of NAT
• Experience with IPv6
• Basic understanding of VLANs/Firewalls/etc
• BS in computer science, IT, or related field. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in a similar role.
