W2 Contract

Pay Rate: $35 - $45 per hour

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented in vivo research associate with a background in mouse laboratory animal research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo oncology studies (efficacy, PK/PD).
• Using: Studylog, GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Outlook, and Teams
• Perform dosing independently by various routes (PO, IP, SC, IV) according to instructions.
• Perform tumor volume measurements by caliper and body weight measurements.
• Collect samples (tumor, blood, organs, etc) as needed.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, accurately and timely record-keeping, and data analysis.
• Interface with cross-functional project team members, and participate in and present at project and cross-departmental team meetings.
• Occasional husbandry and facility cleaning.
• Occasional weekends and holidays.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology-related discipline (3 - 5 years of experience).
• Proficiency with mouse handling and dose administration (PO and IP).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.
• Proficiency with mouse handling and dosing (PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis.
• Computer literacy: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with in vivo imaging.
• Experience with Studylog, GraphPad Prism, Benchling, and Excel.
• Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy.
• In vivo skills (TV measurement by caliper, SC tumor inoculations, IV injection, survival surgeries, survival blood collections, various tissue collections).
